HEXAGON MINING TAKES CENTER STAGE AT CIM-MONTREAL

TUCSON, Arizona, May 8, 2015 Hexagon Mining takes center stage at the 2015 CIM (Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum) Convention in Montreal, Quebec, May 10-13. The company’s mine safety solutions will be highlighted at this premier event hosted by the Canadian mining industry.

Hexagon Mining’s SAFEmine Collision Avoidance System (CAS) is world’s best proven CAS with the technology at work in more than 20,000 mining vehicles in over 45 surface mines worldwide. Attendees can get a first-hand understanding of these technologies at the session titled "Safety and productivity improvements through the use of a collision avoidance system" (Speaker: Todd Ruff; Room 513E CIM, May 13, at 10:30 a.m.).

In addition, new and upcoming technologies at the Hexagon Mining booths (1716 and 1425), including HxM Blast. HxM Blast revolutionizes the design and execution of drill and blast plans from within Hexagon Mining’s mine planning solution, MineSight 3D. This technology will appear alongside other leading Hexagon Mining technologies for mine planning (MineSight) and mine operations (Leica Jigsaw and Devex SmartMine UG).

Since its official launch in February at Mining Indaba in South Africa, Hexagon Mining has been delivering its message of smart change at events worldwide. In addition to its highly successful MineQuest seminar series, which began in Tucson last month, the company is gearing up for HxGN LIVE, Hexagon’s annual user conference in Las Vegas, June 1-4, and Hong Kong, Nov. 18-20.
