He is passionate about partnering with clients to achieve operational excellence – all underpinned by a strong analytical, practical, and methodical approach to solving problems.

Penny balances the needs of customers and the business, driving profitable, sustainable growth. She is responsible for finance and business partnering, customer experience, including internal business processes and systems, and IT and workplace infrastructure. Penny holds a BSc in Engineering and Applied Science from Caltech and an MBA degree from The Anderson School at UCLA.

Ryan is driven by Hexagon’s customer-focused, entrepreneurial values, applying the best of both global and local approaches to make our life-of-mine customer partnerships world-class. He brings his extensive experience of mining operations and technology and his passion for working with clients to our global business units, leading regional sales, service & support.

Rodrigo combines customer focus and entrepreneurial spirit, showcasing Hexagon and its ability to transform mining in Latin America as an example for the rest of the world. He builds business success by identifying, recovering, and nurturing relationships with larger clients through an integrated structure of services, support, and selling, growing Hexagon’s prominence and market leadership in the region.

Humberto embodies our profit-driven, innovative core values. He is helping to deliver the plant of the future, expanding capacity while ensuring quality products continue to be delivered on time. He is responsible for global production, logistics and assembly, field hardware RMA (Return Material Authorization) and production hardware QA.

Tamara leads our global legal activities, including corporate compliance and issues related to contracting, business acquisitions, regulatory compliance, corporate organization and other corporate matters. She brings more than 30 years’ experience, serving both large publicly-traded corporations and small entrepreneurial start-ups.

Laura is instrumental in delivering the holistic Power of One message to market, cultivating thought leadership that establishes Hexagon on the industry’s cutting edge. Bringing international experience across an array of industries, from software (analytics and customer experience solutions) to sweets (cookies!), Laura leads global marketing, aligning corporate brand strategy and shaping customer journeys.

Esmeralda applies Hexagon’s commitment to professionalism in proactively managing talent that reflects diversity, equity and inclusivity across the board. She is responsible for global human resources, talent management and business partnering, and diversity and inclusion. Esmeralda holds a Masters in Human Resources Management and brings more than 20 years’ combined experience in mining and HR.

Derek drives client success by developing high-performing teams that respond to client needs with urgency, transparency and trust. He spent more than 10 years in engineering and management functions at large operating mines. Since 2016, he has led sales and operations functions in mining technology supplier companies. Derek is passionate about developing the next generation of technical leaders and serves on the Board of Examiners and Discipline Committee of Canadian Provincial Engineering associations. His academic qualifications include a BSc Physics, BASc Eng., and an MBA.

Andrew is excited to bring to market the next generation of autonomy for mining. A miner at heart, Andrew participates in digital strategy, IoT, big data, and other technology initiatives with some of the world’s top mining houses. After beginning his career working with nuclear scientists and theoretical mathematicians, he has spent more than a decade innovating in the mining industry. Successfully deploying automation projects on six continents, Andrew is looking forward to working with you, in your mine soon, to deliver game-changing technologies.

Simon brings more than 30 years of experience in applying technology and innovation to the mining, mineral processing, and energy industries. He has led teams tasked with optimizing industrial activity in some of the world’s largest mining and technology companies, including BHP, Rio Tinto, IBM, and Oracle. He founded, built, and sold a mining technology business with a global customer base and has a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University in Perth, Australia.

Susan is a client-focused leader, building business success by listening to customers, understanding their critical business problems and challenging outdated processes with value-driven solutions. For more than 30 years, she has worked with world-class owners and EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) organizations to shape and deliver IT solutions that improve productivity, safety, quality and predictability. Susan enjoys celebrating the transformative outcomes that come from partnering with customers on their digital and automation journeys, including greater precision in planning and monitoring, improved resource optimization and enhanced operational performance.

James brings a wealth of experience having led the development and growth of digital technologies across a range of industries, including mining, telecommunications, advertising technology and enterprise SaaS. He has held a diverse range of senior leadership roles in pursuit of bringing to market transformative digital and data technologies across these industries. He has become a passionate advocate for the significant role technology plays for our mining customers, as they strive to achieve their goals around safety, sustainability and productivity. James and his highly experienced team lead Hexagon’s drill & blast portfolio and are committed to helping customers optimize and digitally integrate this critical part of the mining value chain.

Sean brings 30 years of mining experience and technology to his new role, where he will be sharing his passion for operational improvement. Building on the proven reliability of MineOperate, Sean will deliver a market-leading operational solution by incorporating our world-class measurement, planning and safety products. Sean is skilled in mining technology with engineering degrees from Australia and the UK.

Jordan manages and mentors product development teams on the execution and delivery of our world-class solutions. He advises on product strategy and product development processes, tools and techniques. Jordan brings more than 15 years’ experience in product design and agile product development, and has led a variety of teams in eCommerce, B2C and B2B organizations. He cares deeply about sustainability and is a passionate advocate for more efficient mining practices via platform standardization, data, and the power of advanced analytics to transform mining from pit to port.

Marcos leads product strategy across Hexagon’s mining portfolios, coordinating and shaping product roadmaps, delivering on vision and strategy, and ensuring customer needs are part of every step.

Marcos brings more than 10 years’ experience in the mining industry and product management. He has a Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering, an MBA and has completed other high-level product education courses from INSEAD and Northwestern's Kellogg Management Institute.

Thiago leads product design across Hexagon’s Mining portfolio, which includes user experience and interface, product documentation and front-end platforms. A strategic thinker and specialized in creating rich experiences for enterprise applications, Thiago ensures that the user experience is delightful and impactful across all touch points. He has more than 15 years of international experience in product design and product development across many industries and holds several advanced certifications, such as Human Computer Interaction at MIT.

Steve guides Mining division portfolios and business units to align their requirements and initiatives with a common hardware platform. He brings decades of industry experience, starting his mining technology career with Modular Mining in 1988. Steve is passionate about creating and integrating on-board vehicle technology into customer solutions that promote safety and improve productivity while driving value. He has a BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of Arizona and was a principal in Jigsaw Technologies and Guardvant, both of which were acquired by Hexagon.

Callum brings more than 15 years of experience leading and growing mining technology businesses, most recently as co-founder and Managing Director of drilling technology business, Minnovare. He has a track record of building high-performance teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability, resulting in the development of several industry-leading technology solutions. Callum’s objective is to expand the company’s suite of technology across underground mines globally, delivering quantifiable bottom-line benefits to both mining companies and contractors.

Mick has 13 years of experience developing and executing growth strategies in the mining technology space. He led the expansion of drilling technology business, Minnovare, as co-founder. This included the global launch of two game-changing drilling technologies in the resource definition and underground production drilling space. He is focused on leading teams to deliver and demonstrate step-change value to customers and driving strong client relationships.
